High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) also known as ‘3D SkinMed’ or ‘Ultrasound Facelift’ has become one of the most sought-after lifting treatments for face and neck.

HIFU is a safe, non-surgical ultrasound treatment that counteracts the effects of time and gravity on your skin. HIFU uses the body’s own regenerative response to gently and gradually lift skin on the eyebrow, under the chin and on the neck, and smooth lines and wrinkles on the décolletage.

HIFU Face & Neck Treatment Procedure

Before having a HIFU procedure, you will need to remove all cosmetics and skincare products from the target area.

Here’s what to expect at your appointment:

Firstly, our practitioner will clean the targeted area.
They may apply a topical anaesthetic cream to make the procedure less painful.
Our practitioner will then apply an ultrasound gel.
The HIFU device is then pressed up against the skin.
To optimise results, the practitioner will adjust the ultrasound viewer to the correct setting.
Ultrasound energy is then applied to the desired target in a series of short, intense pulses for approximately 30 to 90 minutes.
The device is then removed.
If additional treatments are needed, you will be scheduled for another treatment.

HOW DOES IT WORK

HIFU stands for ‘High Intensity Focused Ultrasound’.

Hifu is a safe, non-surgical ultrasound treatment that counteracts the effects of time and gravity on your skin. It uses ultrasound energy coupled with the body’s own regenerative response, to gently and gradually lift skin on the eyebrow, under the chin and on the neck and the décolletage.

In doing so it creates a lifted, more taut appearance and stimulates the body to produce collagen thereby creating a more taut appearance as it stimulates collagen production and eliminates wrinkles.

WHO IS SUITABLE FOR TREATMENT?

A good candidate is aged 25+ who wants to reverse the effects of aging and stay looking young for much longer.

For patients in their 30s it is typically used to stimulate collagen production and help delay the ageing process.

Patients in their 40s and 50s are the most common age group who have this treatment. Patients may have noticed that the skin on their face or neck has become lax and wish to lift and tighten the relevant area.

It is also for those aged 60+ or who have had surgery in the past, it can be used to prolong to effects of surgical facelifts.
